EMSAC Membership

The Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado is a not-for-profit society of emergency medical service professionals. Founded as the EMT Association of Colorado in 1973, it is one of the oldest state EMS organizations in the nation.

EMSAC is involved in many facets of EMS in the state. Our purpose is threefold:

  • Advocate
  • Communicate
  • Educate

Membership comprises paramedic, intermediate and basic-level EMTs, first responders, physicians and nurses; and emergency dispatchers, medical educators and researchers, EMS training institutions and suppliers to the profession. We are both paid and volunteer professionals, from the urban centers of the state and our wide open rural areas. Leaders of both their own organization and EMS in Colorado as a whole, our members serve with ambulance services, fire departments, search and rescue teams and ski patrols; and in hospitals, industrial plants, teaching institutions, dispatch centers and the military.

Through our many activities, the association is constantly at work, pushing for excellence of care for everyone needing emergency medical aid.

There are three ways to become a member:
